PROJECT

Although I'm generally responsible for property creative at 7th Street Casino, I would occasionally be tasked with internal projects. This particular project was to create a poster to celebrate staff veterans for Veterans Day.

PROCESS

Since I'd never designed anything patriotic, I was stumped where to begin and when that happens, I always look for inspiration. Since the company had a Shutterstock account, I started there, where I encountered an array of patriotic patterns. Since I'd always liked the funky effect of combining them, I decided to design something both traditional and modern with enough room to highlight copy for staff names at the center.
