PLTHRA

PROJECT

Plthra was a startup pushing a high-end hairdryer prototype targeting women in their thirties and above. As such, the goal was to create an identity for Plthra to visually ground the brand and establish trust with investors.

PROCESS

Since the company targets a higher-income audience, women in their thirties, and the product possesses a unique circle motor, I based the identity on a logo with circular elements that intersect to create a feminine symbol of beauty and transformation: the butterfly. Since the product manages to protect and amplify the hair without harming it with heat, I also included a green (to denote nourishment/health) and gray (to denote modernity) color palette.

After the identity was complete, I supplemented it with a branding booklet to guide company designers and retain consistency, uniformity, and trust.
